Why attend ChinaJoy?

The 600M gamers in China generated $24.6 billion in 2016, making the country the gaming capital of the world, accounting for an impressive 25% of the entire global market.

APAC – and China more specifically – forms a large majority of the entire global market. That’s why we’ve decided to be present at ChinaJoy; to consolidate our presence and to serve the needs of developers working in China, or of those wanted to break into this growing market. It’s a great opportunity to introduce our platform to the APAC region, and for us to learn more about this exciting and intriguing gaming community.

How is the Chinese market set to mature?

There is a huge appetite for mobile gaming content in China, with analysts expecting revenues up to $129 billion by 2020, with mobile gaming generating 51% of the global revenue. Mobile will overtake console and PC games by then. Chinese gamers are going to expect more content of a higher quality going forward. As a developer, being aware of the behaviours and habits of your players across the continents will undoubtedly give you the edge. Moreover, detailed geographic player analysis could determine the success or failure of your game.
