GameAnalytics introduces its own Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server, an open-source way to connect your game data directly to AI assistants - part of PipelineIQ Pro.

What if your game data could answer you directly? For years, game teams have relied on dashboards, SQL queries, and scattered tools to understand what their players are doing. Useful? Absolutely. Fast and intuitive? Not always. As AI begins to reshape how developers work, we explored how to make their data analysis simpler. So we asked: What if your game data could simply talk back?

Today, we’re excited to introduce the GameAnalytics Model Context Protocol (GA MCP) Server. It is an open-source bridge between your GameAnalytics data and AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, Antigravity, Cursor, and others that adopt the MCP standard. It brings something new to your workflow: the ability to ask questions in plain language and receive accurate, data-driven answers in seconds. The GA MPC is available as a part of PipelineIQ Pro subscription.

What the MCP server does

MCP is a new standard that allows AI tools to interact with external APIs. In this case, it lets your AI “speak” to the GA Metrics API. That means you can open your preferred AI app and ask:

"Fetch the daily revenue for 'Galaxy Quest' for the last 30 days. Is there a specific country driving the decline?"

The server handles the query behind the scenes and returns ready-to-use insights:

I have analyzed the daily revenue for 'Galaxy Quest' over the last 30 days (2025-11-08 to 2025-12-08).

  • Summary: Yes, Germany (DE) appears to be the primary driver of the revenue decline.

Findings:

  • Top Markets: The game's revenue is almost entirely driven by two countries: Germany (DE) (~81% of total) and Denmark (DK) (~19% of total).
  • Germany (DE) Trend: Shows a noticeable downward trend.
  • Start of period (Nov 8): ~$2,407
  • End of period (Dec 6-7): ~$1,600 - $1,800
  • This represents a significant drop in daily volume.
  • Denmark (DK) Trend: Remains relatively stable.
  • Start of period (Nov 8): ~$594
  • End of period (Dec 7): ~$548
  • Fluctuations are present but no strong downward trend is visible compared to Germany.
  • Since Germany accounts for the vast majority of revenue, its decline has a direct and large impact on the overall metrics.

Why this matters for data analysis

Every team member engages with data differently. Some want fast clarity. Others want deep exploration. The MCP server supports both:

  • Product Managers get quick clarity on KPIs like retention and ARPU.
  • Developers can check events or game stats directly from their IDE.
  • Analysts can iterate faster, using AI to explore ideas before building dashboards.

It’s all about reducing friction and bringing your data to where you already work.

How to get started with MCP for your game data

The GA MCP Server is fully open-source and designed for simple setup, whether you're experimenting locally or integrating it into your studio’s workflow. All documentation and installation instructions are available in our GitHub repository.

What’s next?

We see this as the first step toward true conversational analytics. MCP makes insights easier to reach and far more intuitive. Talk to our sales team to subscribe to PipelineIQ Pro, try it out, and see how it changes the way you explore and understand your game data.
